For the summer to autumn the Phoenix crew have toured Ireland, firing many displays for key Irish festivals and events. Over the years this has built up to a large portfolio of displays. Here are some of the festivals and venues where Phoenix Fireworks has displayed.
The Ballina Street Festival is definitely one of Ireland's best and most diverse festivals crowned each year by a vibrant and colourful night time Mardi Gras Parade on the Saturday night. There is a fantastic fireworks display which has been put on by Phoenix Fireworks over the years followed a party late into the night. Congratulations to Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhan, winner of the Rose of Tralee 2005! Almost a million Irish viewers tuned in to watch the show and over 200,000 visitors went to Tralee. |
There was music, parades, fireworks displays, seisuns and of course the Rose of Tralee Selection with Ray D'Arcy.
Over 250,000 people pack the streets around the River Liffey in Dublin to witness the largest fireworks display ever seen in Ireland. The event marks the start of a five-day festival to mark St Patrick's Day In 1999 Phoenix Fireworks were partners with Groupe F, and fired the fireworks for St Patrick's Day as well as the official launch of the Millennium celebrations.
Wexford Festival is where Phoenix have supported musical concerts and opera's with fireworks many times. It is one of Europe's major opera festivals for symphony and choral concerts, opera scenes and, of course, fireworks. |
The Olympic 'flame of hope' ended it's long and winding 15,000km journey from Athens and the honour of igniting the Special Olympic cauldron was given to Irish athlete David McAuley, sparking a fireworks display Croke Park has never witnessed before.
