The city spectacular is the brain child of French theatre company, Royal de Luxe, who staged their performance of 'The Sultan's Elephant' against the backdrop of some of London's most famous monuments.

The director Jean Luc Courcoult founded the company in 1979, and they have performed all over the world ever since.
