Martin Coffin
Managing Director

Martin has been in the industry for thirty odd years and has gained respect from his colleagues from both within the industry and his customers alike.

He has shown commitment to the fireworks business with his involvement in the Management Team for the British Pyrotechnists’ Association (now Chair of the group).

When not running the business or his farm, Martin has interests as diverse as flying and skiing; he is also a Cabinet Member for finance on the Local Borough Council.

Alex Selby
Displays Director

Alex joined Phoenix Fireworks in 1993, and has stayed ever since. Over the years he has developed a very keen eye for colour and detail; coupled with his excellent musical analysis he has developed his skill to the point where he won both the major British titles; British Musical Championships and British Firework Championships.

Alex is also responsible for firing the acclaimed Sony Bravia Advert, where he splattered paint all over a tenement block in Glasgow!

Outside work Alex enjoys American Football (having once played for England), music and concerts, and a general interest in most sports as well as a sharp mind for Poker.

Dan Fitton
Displays Manager (North)

Dan has been involved with professional fireworks since the mid 1980′s, during this time he has been responsible for designing and executing an eclectic range of shows from weddings and private parties to large musical concerts, corporate shows and public displays.

Dan has led the Northern display team at Phoenix since 1999 with responsibility for operations across the north of England and Scotland.

Outside fireworks Dan enjoys riding his motorbikes, skiing and is currently learning to fly a Microlight.

 

 

 

 

Nicola Coffin
Head of Marketing and Senior Pyrotechnician

Nicola joined Phoenix in 2006, and with a strong firework interest she been involved in many aspects of the company. She is constantly searching for new clients and new venues for displays.

Nicola enjoys designing and firing displays, both electrical displays and hand fired, but particularly enjoys musical displays where colour, effect and music all combine for extra impact.

Outside of work, Nicola has many hobbies, including horse riding, skiing and athletics.
